^Turn off items once, and get ahead of the field. Drive as usual, you should win by about 30-50 seconds. That shows how good the AI really is without those items.
Another annoying game: James Bond NightFire. Okay, I admit it's awesome at times, that is, until you discover that the AI bots are capable of:
- Unlimited ammo, they can reload ad infinitum if they got a weapon (you get Golden Gun with 2 bullets, while they can keep firing forever)
- Zero time elapse in weapon switch, they can change from Bazooka to Sniper rifle in the blink of an eye. Also, they don't have to scroll through the entire weapon list to find the preferred weapon.
- Turn around about 50 times faster than you, going from running away with only a gun, to pick up, reload, turn around and fire in literally no time. That will take a human character about five seconds to do.
- Sneak around tripmines; a friend and I filled a place with explosives once, there were only two ways in. Still, they shoved up in the room we were hiding in. We killed them, went back to the mined area, and saw that no bombs had gone off.
- And they always follow the same preset path from destination A to B, making the game really predictable if you have few bots.
The game is also a bit annoying in the fact that the largest, most open and generally most awesome stage is locked for AI bots. Only one person can play as Bond, who is the only male MI6 player, and you can't set MI6 players against each other, so only one person on the "good" team can play in free-for-all matches.
Can still be fun, though. Machine gun shootouts (less than three)!
