Hi you guys,

this is my first Pokémon composition. I made it a couple of years ago when I wanted to create an own Pokémon game. Quite narcistic that I wanted to be the 4th of the Elite 4 (Mark, expertized in Psychic Legendaries). I hope you like it, it's written in the style of Pokémon, with lots of dim chords and so on.

Please give feedback.

Update
Another song I composed today, it's for the Pokémon game I wanted to make. It's the music of the starter town, hope you like it

Hope you like it.

I almost feel like asking what game it is from. It even sounds familiar, very, very Pokémon-ish. If it hadn't been for the fact that I've played every Pokémon game to ridiculum and beyond, I'd seriously believe that this was Masuda's work (or whoever is the composer now).
Great job. Really.
Emergence - a story exclusive to NSM

Yes, I'm still around from time to time. For quicker response, you can reach me by PM, or drop by Smogon to say hi. I go by "Codraroll" there, because of a bet.

I know. I will fix them all in a while. But not now, now I'm leaving for Greece.

New compositions and a lot!
More that are almost finished, but I won't upload them until they're finished.
They're all for a Pokémon game I'm workin' on just for fun. I have to explain some things about a couple of them.
Approaching the Elite 4: http://www.mediafire.com/?myzgyftddy5

The Battle! Elite 4 is a cool one. It works in the same way as Gohdan from The Wind Waker (Zelda), but then a little more complicated. The right hand starts a melody and continues playing a long melody. The left hand copies the right hand melody, but the one 4 measures earlier. Then the bass guitar follows that melody 8 measures later. Which means the following: (RH = right hand, LH = left hand and BG = bass guitar)
RH    A    B    C    D
LH          A    B    C
BG               A     B
Very hard to compose, but a lot of fun.

I've heard most, if not all of these, and I have to say, they are like cut from a Pokémon game, or music that never made it to the final game, it's so much in the style of Pokémon, without being a copy of anything.
Great work. Even brings back memories.

sweet stuff! i like some of these much more than what they have in the actual games

GreekGeek

Wow, you guys that were like the best compliments I ever got :'(

Haha no need to get sentimental.
But thanks a lot ;)
Which one do you like most?

dahans

I really enjoyed listening it but I think if you could use more instruments the quality would be much better.
Check out my arrangements! I mean it! Check them out!

GreekGeek

Yeah I know, I just don't know which instruments to add. Like to have some help with that :-\
And I have a limited choice because of the MIDI...

dahans

what kind of program do you use for that?

I compose the melody on my keyboard and then I compose the rest of the instruments with Sibelius 5. And because few of NSM members have Sibelius, I export it as a MIDI-file and save the sheets as a PDF file.

musicguy49

I only listened to a couple of your compositions but I must say I really really like the Krator Town! Good job!
