The bill's supposed to affect all websites based in the US, including Facebook and Google...that's the only reason why other countries are affected. I'm not sure where NSM is based...xD

Since Wikipedia's down, this other website (lol, ED) said this US Congressman Lamar Smith is responsible for this bill. Obviously he has no idea how the internet works.

i've already talked with my Congressman and he's voting against it. The Congresswoman here at in SLO, I think she's against it, but I'm not one of her constituents. I've also screamed (well, left a message) at my two Senators (Boxer and Feinstein... at least Feinstein doesn't take as many bribes as Boxer) and I don't know how they're voting.

This decision will basically make or break the Congressional Record for this Congress.
