My thoughts:

Why do some Mac fans hate Windows so much?  I have never had a problem with Windows, though I've never used Mac before.  I'm currently using Windows 8, and the only thing that makes it better than Windows 7 is the faster boot up time.  The Metro interface is pretty much useless for me. 

Still doesn't explain why some people absolutely refuse to use it though.

As far as I know, there isn't anything.  The closest thing you can get is a fortepiano.
