Ay Virtue's Last Reward is $11.99 for a couple weeks on the 3DS eShop, so if you like plot heavy games or escape the room puzzles, I really recommend downloading it. The sequel, Zero Time Dilemma, is coming out in June, so it's also a good time to play VLR.

Eh, 999 wasn't that good (or at least, I thought it was pretty dumb).

I mean I'll say VLR is a lot better than 999 (also makes 999 better in retrospect) but it's chill either way.

edit: to be more specific, the plot is a lot stronger and more rewarding at the end. In addition, the super slow text isn't a problem, most of the game is fully voiced, and the game lets you see physically which end you're headed for with a flowchart. So it's also just more enjoyable to play.

 I'm generally not sold on a sequel if the proceeding game didn't leave me with anything positive though .-.

I mean that's fair. I guess it's hard to sell when you haven't already experienced the game haha. If you had a Vita I'd tell you to download the demo to see what I mean, but the 3DS version doesn't have one which is lame.
