But I'm currently on the east coast and I have an Amtrak ticket from DC to NYC on Friday and my flight leaves back for SFO on Friday night. Getting to NYC is gonna be hell if they don't reopen the tracks between Philadelphia and NYC.

Just use one of the bus services.  Should be able to get a ride on BoltBus, TripperBus, Megabus, etc.  Try http://www.gotobus.com/ as well as Megabus and Boltbus websites.

All the buses are sold out. Even flights tripled in fares.

We are taking Amtrak to Philly then taking SEPTA to Trenton and NJ transit to NYC.

It's all free since both SEPTA and NJT are honoring our tickets.

I didn't want to throw up because my boyfriend was over and he has a phobia for vomit and vomiting

I also find this sad as it likely means we won't get any PC Engine games on the North American or European Wii U Virtual Console. Hopefully a miracle happens so they can support digital stores at the very least.
