^This.  Yeah, it tends to be with older people too who really don't know how to talk to you, so they make annoying small talk without realizing it.  Height is a lot of it.  Or the weather.  Or make REALLY lame jokes that you're supposed to laugh at.

All my mom's friends mention my height after more than a couple months of not seeing me. I suppose it's a replacement for a comment on your age for something you can see easily.

If somebody hasn't seen you in a while, I think they'll instinctively look for some change to comment on. I bet if you got contacts between those meetings instead of glasses they would notice that and forget about your height.

Yesterday night some angry guy was hammering at my neighbor's apartment door at 1 am, the college students (?) downstairs keep smoking pot on weekends and once there was a super loud party that ended at about 2 am in one of the apartments here and the stupid guests were running up and down the stairway being assholes. Maybe I should spoil their fun a little.
