He's going to be the Wolf in Into the Woods as done by Disney.

Sondheim approved whatever alterations were made to the original Broadway play, but I have such an ambivalence the Disney made things lately that I'm not too sure about this. I'm not a big fan of Depp either, for me he's had more lackluster performances than really outstanding ones. But he has had some great part before, so we'll see how this turns out.

I'll admit that on the whole Tim Burton's Sweeney wasn't a perfect adaptation (as much as I adore Helena Bonham Carter, she completely disregarded Angela Lansbury's Lovett and the film suffered for it), but Johnny Depp's performance was my favorite of all his films. The raw emotion he puts into Todd is almost awe-inspiring.

I came out to my dad today. It was so hard. I'm still shaking.

But it was the most liberating thing. It was so liberating. He's totally accepting of it, behind me 100% whatever I am. At the end he cried a little and hugged me and said he was glad we have the sort of relationship where I trust him enough to be honest. Aaugh it's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
