If you didn't guess, the joke with Happy Happy Village is that the Happy Happyists (The cult that runs the place) paint everything blue as part of their religion. And because blue is the opposite of happy, it's just EarthBound's weird sense of humor!

Your reaction to the Territorial Oak made me rofl. Admit it: this is one of if not the weirdest  game you've ever played.

I thought Conker's Bad Fur Day was weird, but this game takes the cake. God damn trees.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is weird in a sort of IN YOUR FACE kind of way. It's funny, but I prefer EarthBound's more subtle weirdness. I'll be sure to point out a few hidden jokes for you to show if you'd like.

Oh, and there are more trees later on in the game. Many EarthBound enemies get "upgraded" versions later, and  that includes the Territorial Oaks. Have fun!

I've heard of it, and as blue said... I don't need videos of me dying over and over. You guys don't need to hear my anguished sobs; that's what Mother 3 is for.
