Slow Playback

I feel like this is a pretty stupid question, but do any arrangers out there know of a program that slows an audio track down so that you can, in my case, listen to some of the faster notes more clearly?
Really need help here! Thanks!

Try Audacity.




Then set the following to a negative number; -50% is about half the speed, etc.

Right Click


Drag



And it doesn't even screw up the pitch.

Is Transcribe or Audacity better? (ignoring costs)

If you don't ignore costs, Audacity is free.

After reading a little bit about it, Transcribe seems like it would be better for, well, transcribing, while audacity is good for recording music/sound in general.
I only skimmed though, so I'm not entirely sure.

Audacity doesn't change pitches if you hit "Tempo Change". If you hit "Speed Change" it does though.
Audacity does everything I need it to.

"Change Speed" changes pitch and tempo, "Change Pitch" changes pitch, and "Change Tempo" only changes tempo; who would've guessed?
