Does anybody know who composed the music for the original SNES Harvest Moon game. The only name I could find was just, Chacky. Is that the only name given, or is it a nickname or what? If I have to I'll contact Natsume themselves, because this is going to go on my CD.

It probably is, but I'm not at home, and can't get to my copy of the game right now. Youtube might have it, I don't know.

nope. youtube does not have a video of the credits from the game. I'm not sure if there were any actual in-game credits. I had put chacky on my Spring Theme sheet last year, because that was all I could find through the use of google.

I googled "Chacky Harvest Moon."

Gamespot, Gamefaqs, Mobygames, and an arranger from vgmusic.com just put Chacky.

CHACKEY is only a penname to him, Tanaka being his actual name.
 in the future, please check the important resources first. (google is not always the best)

in my interpretation, it is the romanization of the katakana spelling of the nickname Chucky.  we can note in using the movie bride of chucky as a reference that the name is romanized in this fashion.

imdb doesnt seem to have much of his earlier work but, dont assume that he did the music for all the Harvest Moon, he did not. Though he did continue his legacy onto the 64.
