Thanks for the link, Tobbeh99! I'll keep an eye on that. My initial post is granted a bit cryptic, but what I was asking is if people can recommend me exercises to develop my musical sense. I'm assuming chord, scale and interval exercises are a key ingredient.

Also there are some tricks that makes it easier picking out songs. Like using a slow-down program like audiostretch, to slow songs down. I think most people on the site use some sort of slow-down program. Also using an audio-editing program can be useful, to boost bass and treble registers to facilitate hearing low bass notes and high treble notes. For that I use audacity. Both programs are also free, if you want them, which is awesome!
