We seem to have trapped one of the mods within the forum's code... and we're not sure how to get him out. Oh well, he'll figure it out!

[N64] Super Mario 64
"Bowser's Road" (Replacement) - PDF MUS MIDI

Deku: I'd suggest perhaps removing the ties between the last two bars simply to compensate for the piano's lack of sustain. That's a pretty powerful ending just before the loop in the original and re-articulating the harmony will help that along. Good job on spelling the diminished chords. I don't really think there's much more I can say from my phone. I might take a closer look at that chorale section when I'm on the computer but it sounds pretty good.

Don: Thanks for the feedback. I've removed the ties as you pointed out and went back to it to fix other things:

- Just noticed that the repeat in the N64 version actually goes back to bar 11 instead of 3. It's the DS version the one that has the repeat in bar 3 lol

- Added missing layer in bars 19 to 26.

- Second voice in bars 29 and 31 now mimics better the original sound effect and is more accurate.

- Corrected the left hand's fourth beat from bars 3 to 10 to 16th-16th-8th (D-D-C#).

Deku:
-Hmmm...I'm not convinced by the little turns (I know they're not, but I'm tired and can't think of the actual word :P) in bars 25-26. The kind of effect I think you're trying to reproduce is just delay from different instruments and probably not worth bothering with.

Don: Honestly I think that's what the original plays, but if you really find it unnecessary I can put a semibreve instead.

-What if from bar 19-26 you turned the top (only the top) first note of each bar in the LH into a semibreve? There is a voice which actually does have that line in that octave, sustained throughout. Just something to try out.

Don: True, nice catch! I should have gone over that part with more attention. Done :J

-I'll look at the rest when I have a little more time

I'm making my rounds as we speak. Check your post! I'm not going in any particular order, but I tend to check arrangements of songs I'm familiar with first since they don't take that long. Also, remember that Zip files aren't acceptable!
