Microsoft released Office 2016 for Mac yesterday.

AND EXCEL HAS THE SAME COMMANDS AS THE WINDOWS VERSION FINALLY!!!

So today I realised that the Main Theme from Yoshi's New Island is a contrafact of The Rhythm Changes.

It's fun facts like that that make me happy.

Also (probably everyone knows this already) the song that plays in World 3 level select in Super Mario Bros 3 is also the Fairy Fountain song from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

I knew that indeed! The bike music from Pokemon GSC is just a sped up version of Goldenrod City, and the Bug catching contest music is a remix of the RBY bike music, I believe.

Almost every track in Super Mario Land 2 is an arrangement of the main theme which is really fun. Kazumi Totaka is a lot of fun about stuff like that.

Not a true one. Aside from the main 3 notes, they are too different.
Lorule Castle and Hyrule Castle, however, share much more.

Each are part of a much longer song than simply the ocarina portion. Referring to those ocarina songs in turn refers to the full pieces.
