Quote from: KefkaticFanatic on May 21, 2015, 03:53:03 AMNuclear is already such a great song tho

Yeah, but considering the fact that it literally says "Diamond Dogs" 4 times in the second scene alone makes it seem like kind of an injustice that this song, or any other Bowie song for that matter, hasn't yet been used for a trailer. They have one more chance in the coming weeks, so they better get it right lest I call shenanigans.

This song was stuck in my head for most of my work shift today and I still don't know why.

Sounded at first like a derivation of this:
Same chord progression and similar melodic structure I guess.

Yes that first theme sounds really different from the rest. I thought it sounded like some Russian folk song, which make sense since Tetris is somewhat Russian. However the song you showed me seems to be Italian.

mikey

the original Tetris for the NES was created by Tekken, a Russian company.  They had a limited manufacturing run, making the Tekken brand tetris fairly rare.

While we're on the subject, anyone know the actual name of the folk song that the A theme is derived from?

Well, of course! :P
And the moral of the story: Quit while you're a head.

I'm quite sure it's Korobeiniki(Коробейники). Here's the Red Army Choir performing the song:
