In my mind, if it's a secret that they don't want anyone to know about themselves, I won't tell it; but if it's a secret that applies to specific people, I won't tell them or anyone who could tell them, and I would tell people who live no where near me or know who I'm talking about.

The secret wasn't really a secret insofar as it was embarrassing or revealing, so much as she didn't want the other band sections to know.
That said, the act of sharing secrets in and of itself is kinda dickish in general. With this benign case it doesn't really matter too much, but if she really trusts you, sharing her secrets on an internet forum which nearly anyone in the first world can access probably isn't the best idea.
