This version appears to be ripped from the Squid Beatz minigame from in the game. It's also where I got the name from.

Intro portion
You. With me. The moon, the rock around, give it. To me.
You need to hear our song.
Need to, have it,
You need to hallelujah
when I rule when I rule And I fuel the melody
you better kid

Main portion x3
Too many foes,
shouldve shouldve better been with me,
to keep this melody.
Two fellow deeds, your body that cha know i'm a kid,
you're the hero and a squid
bang bang

You. And me. The world.
reach out and give it. To me.
You need to hear our song.
Give it/in. To me.
You need to hallelujah when I rule when I rule
And I fuel the melody you better
Not, give in, to them,
reach out and heed out the air,
you need to hear our song.
Give it/in. To me.
You need to hallelujah when I rule when I rule
And I fuel the melody
you better kid.

*Your current measure distribution needs work. A general guide for this song would be to 4 measure per systems where there are primarily 8th notes, and 2 measures per system where there are those 16th note scale runs. I would suggest 4-4-2-2-2-2-4-4-4-4-4-4.
*Fill in the RH with chords and harmonies when they occur. Measures 1-8 have some other background synths you could incorporate into the RH, and measures 25 to the end have some interesting "2-voice unison" effects that I think you could pianistically adapt as octaves on the melody.
*You spelled the bass of m. 37 as B natural. This should be a Cb. This tone actually occurs diatonically in the key signature of Eb minor, so you don't have to overthink it.
*Might you consider a more.... convincing tempo qualifier than "Driving"? It doesn't have to be Italian, especially a song like this, but maybe something more like "with driving force" or "driving motion" or "driving rhythm".

I'm afraid I don't quite understand you on this one; what systems are we talking about?

Yeah, after going back and listening, I can hear a bit between measures 1-8 that I'll try to work in. But are you sure about there being anything at measure 25? I know there's stuff starting around measure 33 that I initially decided not to put it in, because I didn't think it would work well. But I'll give it a second look.

Easy enough fix.  :D

I could have sworn there has been at least one piece of music I've seen with the tempo just labelled as "Driving." In any case, "With driving force" it will be!

I'll try to get to these tomorrow; it's too late at night right now for me to really get anything done.

Systems are basically the musical term for lines. I don't know why they can't call them lines, they just don't. Someone correct me if there's a reason its system rather than line. Anyway, I did the measure distribution for you.

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH I get it. Like the measure distribution on the page. Got it.

I just looked, and apparently Musescore does allow for formatting systems like what you just did, cqk328. That'll come in handy when I import XML files for other arrangements. Thanks!

Yug_Guy

Update time!

cqk328 helped me with the system formatting, otherwise I did everything Bespinben suggested. There were some synths that I couldn't quite work into the arrangement, so I had to leave them out of a couple of measures.

I really hate to harp on this, but...

  • Remove the abbreviation "Pno." to the left of each system. It's redundant to even put that sort of thing on a solo. To remove it, go to the file info/score manager and where it says "abbreviated name", click it and backspace what's there.
  • Measure numbers are now required. They should occur naturally, but if it is an issue, select the Document tab at the top, then select "edit measure number regions". When the pop up appears, hit "delete" then "add". This should reset them.

Also, while I welcome your additions, always be mindful of their physical execution. There's an 11th interval in the RH of m. 26 and m. 30.

Another thought -- I think the 8va markings you put in m. 9+ confuse more than they clarify. In a context line this (descending diatonic scales), ledger lines will work just fine.

I use Notepad 2012, and these instructions do not yield any results. I don't think it's possible for me to get rid of them unless I get a paid version.  :(

That's why I was hesitant at first to put in any of those extra synths. Some of the background synths got in the way of the melody, and moving it up an octave led to a severe case of hand-stretching. In this particular case, I'm just going to leave it in for consistency's sake.

I wasn't quite sure what the opinion was on that kind of thing. I'll change it soon!

Also, don't worry about sounding like a harpy. You're an updater, it's your job to do this. Plus, I really appreciate all the valuable insight you give us newbies!  :D

Dude, don't feel afraid to put large intervals in, provided you arpegigate them. It's very, very common in all sorts of music.

Latios212

Well, there should be some kind of marking indicating how to play it.

In this case it looks perfectly fine to toss that note to the LH.

Updated it with no 8va's, and put the B♭ from measures 26 and 30 into the left hand. The only problem is that I can't beam it, and that the right hand auto-formats the eighth notes to be together. Most of that I'm pretty sure I can't do in Notepad, so hopefully someone is willing to help me out.

Did you get that from PALogy?

I took the time to THOROUGHLY spot-check your transcription, but I had to stop after the first 8 measures. This is the correct transcription:

Review m. 33+ as well -- it's similarly afflicted.
