Nice job on the Mega Man and Bomberman sheets. I've always loved the music from Bomberman. Not too familiar with Bomberman 3 through. This tune seems to work fairly well on piano.

Uh, that's like a new arrangement every 3 days! Jeez! Do you play them as well? (Any videos?)

Quote from: SlowPokemon on December 18, 2017, 07:47:28 AMNice to meet you! Steve Reich makes me want to vomit but welcome!

Ha! He's certainly not for everybody. Electric Counterpoint is fairly palatable. And as far as the early minimalists, his works are the most groundbreaking. I'm not a huge fan of Phillip Glass, and John Adams even less so.

I do love me some Penderecki too. I got to perform for him about 10 years ago. It was for a student composition masterclass. After everyone played their pieces, he said some polite encouragement and then talked the rest of the time about some of his latest music. He clearly was not interested in bothering with these students pieces, ha!

And thank you for the "welcomes", everyone!

LeviR.star, I checked out some of your arrangements on the site here. The Mega Man ones are pretty technically challenging!

Hello, all! Obviously, I'm pretty new here, though I have visited from time to time. I'm pretty passionate about making piano arrangements of NES themes, especially the not-so-popular ones.

Name: Rob Kovacs
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Location: Clevland, OH
Musical stuff: I'm a freelance professional musician. I perform, compose, take gigs, and teach. My two main projects are Return of Simple (a piano rock trio) and 88bit (my solo project arranging and performing NES themes on piano.)
Favorite piece of music (non-video game): Gaspard de la Nuit by Ravel, especially the first two movements and Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich.
Favorite game music: Top three equally would be Mega Man 2, Marble Madness and The 7th Guest.
Favorite video game: Half Life 2
Favorite color: Black
Favorite food: A juicy grass-fed steak. :)
Favorite sport: ultimate frisbee. I love to play pickup.
Favorite school subject: Math
Language: English

I hope to submit some arrangements to this site and add to the preservation of early VGM. Here's is one of my more recent arrangements from the Adventures of Lolo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0waebdIpFpE

Cheers!
Rob
