A used books and games store near my house. I already had credit from trading in some games (I now only have three copies of Pokemon Platinum), so it didn't cost too much.

Earthbound
Chrono trigger
Mega man X
Super Mario RPG

Some classics that aren't particularly unique from their franchises' successors/remakes, but are still probably worth looking into:
The Super Mario World games (including yoshi's island, especially if you haven't played a remake)
The Donkey Kong Country games
Kirby Superstar (my favorite in the franchise)

Some quirky games that idk if I'd call classics, but I enjoyed the hell out of when I was a kid:
Goof Troop (best for two players)
TMNT IV: Turtles in Time (also best for two players)

Ashamed to say I've never played super metroid. But some of the classics didn't age too well imo, such as star fox, f-zero, or super mario kart. For all of those, I'd say their successors were definitive improvements, in large part due to the joystick of the N64.

I'll try to get my hands on those as soon as possible. And don't worry, I already had Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc. in mind when choosing this.

Also, I bought another couple of things, as I'm being super irresponsible with money today. They are:
PW:AA Justice for all
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Pokemon Silver
And... A Pokemon sticker book! It has Breloom, which is the best, along with a ton if others. They will be on everything by tomorrow.
