IDK how you can't like Layton music, but yeah Layton's theme is incredible. I hated all the versions of it in PLVAA (except for the reprise during the end credits suite), but the original, and especially the live version of the original, are both fantastic

Today, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy hits the Nintendo eShop in North America! It's the best-written trilogy in all of gaming (seriously) in one package, with an updated script and HD graphics, and anyone who's remotely interested in games with a heavy focus on writing and story should buy this one. Just trust me.

Word of warning, though, don't watch the trailers on the eShop if you plan on playing the game--they contain spoilers that will make the game less fun for you.

For those of you in Europe, you can pick up this amazing software on Thursday.

That is all.

by trilogy do you mean series with exactly 3 games in it that should be played chronologically rather than concurrently, and no more because I can't actually think of any other trilogy if you do

or do you just mean there are only 3 games so far

It is a series, the first three games of which make up a trilogy that should be played chronologically rather than concurrently.

1. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
2. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All
3. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations

After the creator of Ace Attorney completed the trilogy, the staff at Capcom continued on with the series to produce:
4. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
5. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
6. Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (Japan-only)
7. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies

All of which have very little or nothing to do with the story of the original trilogy, but instead keep moving ahead with the characters to create a continuation of the story.

I hope some of you have given the trilogy a chance with its recent release on 3DS! In the meantime, here's a really good article about parallels between the Ace Attorney universe and the actual Japanese legal world:

I'm planning on buying it sometime soon but it's not exactly number one on my priority list. It's definitely in the top 5 though.
