But he's not running against republicans yet and probably has less of a chance of winning primaries than Clinton so this is bad for both of us.

Because believe it or not, Medicare for all, investing in infrastructure, breaking up Goldman Sachs, universal education, etc., has proven time and time again all over the world to be a good thing for humanity.
@Altissimo Don't lose hope entirely; Bernie may well have won Illinois (and if he didn't he lost by an extremely small margin). In addition, Hillary's momentum could easily soon run out; her best areas are in the South, where Bernie is relatively unknown. But as the calendar goes on, it gets more progressive.
But just watch, soon Fox News and CNN and the lot will immediately declare Clinton the inevitable nominee while they were relatively silent when Bernie won Michigan in a historic primary upset.

Because like I just said before Bernie gives republicans a higher chance of winning in the end. Clinton will probably wipe the floor with trump.

Here are my thoughts on what FA just said:
This is true. My rationale:
Trump says that a lot of democrats are switching over to the republican side because of him. I can't help but wonder, though, if those people will just switch back in the regular election & vote Clinton.

Now, my thoughts on the topic in general: a Republican has to win (preferably other than Trump). I've grown up in a coal mining family (don't plan to continue that legacy, but still), and to see the democrats mercilessly rip and claw at the industry like they have/are/will do, that is HIGHLY perturbing. Sure, I'm all for finding a clean energy source. But when it is found AND STABILIZED, the coal miners need to be the first ones to get a job in that area for all the crap they've had to deal with in the past 4-8 years.

I actually prefer Ted Cruz over everyone else.... Bernie's ideas make me think of communism.

Oh boy. Yeah whether it's Hillary or Bernie they both way outclass any of the republican candidates so my vote is pretty solidly one of them. Obviously Bernie is preferable but I'm not sure he'll get the nomination.

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

LOOOOOOOL seriously, you want a theocracy? The idea of using tax dollars for people's wellbeing instead of the military is so horrible?

Right now China is using the US as an example of how democracy can go wrong, that's not a good thing.

Coal mining is really dying (how much more coal can you get?), and a clean source HAS been found, it's just that *some politicians* are going out of their way to block the needed investments in that because they've been bought by the coal and oil companies. If you want a job in clean energy, get an education and some new skills, you can't really expect a coal miner to suddenly be able to install solar cells. Right now, you're just asking for a handout and the first in line for a place where you don't have skills in. But guess who else doesn't care you can't afford college?

I seem to be missing a piece of my ear.

Let's move this conversation to the Politics thread, I don't think this is really the place for it.
